How do you compare two lists?

A compare two lists tool finds which items two lists share and which are unique to each. Snabbit reads List A and List B line by line, trims and de-duplicates each, then shows three groups: items in both lists, items only in List A, and items only in List B. It runs in your browser, so your lists stay private.

How to use the Compare Two Lists

  1. 1 Paste your first list into List A, one item per line.
  2. 2 Paste your second list into List B.
  3. 3 See three results: items in both, only in A, and only in B.
  4. 4 Copy whichever result group you need.

What you can use it for

  • Finding emails common to two mailing lists.
  • Spotting which items were added or removed.
  • Comparing two sets of SKUs or IDs.
  • Checking overlap between keyword lists.

Frequently asked questions

How are items matched between the lists?
Each line is trimmed of surrounding spaces and compared exactly to the other list. Matching items appear in the "in both" group; the rest are split into only-A and only-B.
Are duplicate items inside one list counted?
No. Each list is de-duplicated first, so a repeated item is considered just once when working out what the two lists have in common.
Is matching case-sensitive?
Yes. Items are compared exactly, so "Apple" and "apple" are treated as different. Lowercase both lists first if you want a case-insensitive comparison.
